Coolest Things Made in Missouri, presented by Springfield Business Journal, is committed to digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards in alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

What We’re Doing

• Building and testing our site on Squarespace with accessibility-friendly themes and ARIA labeling.

• Providing alt text for all non-decorative images, including partner logos and magazine covers.

• Ensuring all interactive elements (menus, forms, and buttons) are keyboard-navigable.

• Maintaining sufficient color contrast between text and background.

• Offering accessible PDF versions of our key documents and applications.

Ongoing Improvement
We test using tools such as the A11Y Project and WAVE to review new content for compliance before publication.
