Control Service Company
Built on Service, Powered by Innovation
Founders William E. Brown and Eugene F. Wakefield filled a need for customer-focused service in the controls industry when they launched Control Service Company (CSC) in 1970. From the start, the company has delivered customized building automation systems (BAS) instead of following a one-size-fits-all approach. As an early pioneer in digital automation, CSC became one of the first authorized Automated Logic dealers in the U.S. in 1989. The company expanded into lighting controls in 2009, followed by security services in 2016. Its Missouri footprint now includes offices in Lee’s Summit and Springfield.
Helping Manufacturers Work Smarter
CSC works with manufacturers to design, install and support systems for HVAC, lighting, fire alarms, security and more. Integrated, data-driven controls and real-time monitoring provide tighter control of energy use, reduced downtime and lower operating costs. In-house engineers, scope developers and a full support team acts as a true one-stop shop, enabling manufacturers to focus on production while their facilities run efficiently in the background.
Proven Results in Complex Environments
CSC delivers measurable results across key industries. Notable projects include the Kansas City Public School District, Arrowhead Stadium and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where automation maintains temperature and humidity within 0.5% of setpoints to protect priceless works. In addition to powerful precision automation, CSC offers flexible service agreements and even pay-by-savings options to meet customer needs.
A Culture That Supports People and Performance
The company’s commitment to service extends to its workplace culture. Cross-department collaboration, ongoing training and regular company gatherings foster a connected, supportive environment. That teamwork translates into better outcomes for clients and a company culture built to last.
How do you impact the communities where you do business?
CSC helps to reduce energy consumption in terms of load and hours. Facilities that implement our solutions have consistently seen a return on investment in the form of energy savings over three to five years.
What does it mean to serve the Missouri manufacturing economy?
For CSC, it means we have the honor of serving those who serve others. Manufacturing is at the heart of our daily lives, and even though it isn’t always the most glamorous work, it matters.
